The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining, growing, and servicing new and existing accounts. The position ensures high-quality customer service, including rapid response to all inquiries and on-time delivery according to customer specifications. Additionally, the Inside Sales Rep is expected to sell, or encourage customers to purchase additional related products and services, as well as support the Outside Sales Representative in qualifying and opening new accounts. Other responsibilities include managing the order writing process, coordinating related outside processing, trouble shooting for potential problems, assisting in rectifying problems and claims, and soliciting feedback from customers on products, services, pricing and overall performance.
•Bachelor’s degree and/or commensurate sales, business, manufacturing industry experience required
•1-3 years sales experience in steel preferred
•High energy and strong mathematical skills
•Strong telephone technique; Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Proficient in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
•Strong organizing and planning skills; Skilled in prioritizing and multi-tasking
