Summer Intern Project

“My summer project was focused on Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). I made a step-by-step process over the different machines and equipment in the warehouse, highlighted their potential dangers and created a document with guides on how to prevent the potential dangers from happening.”

Why did you choose to intern for Olympic Steel?

  • I chose to intern here because I knew this was an industry I could see myself potentially getting into, as it aligned with my dual majors. This would also help broaden my knowledge of the steel industry, and the real world as a whole.

What do you hope to accomplish during your time here at Olympic Steel?

  • I hope to grow as a person and learn as much as I possibly can during my time here. I want to walk away being able to teach anyone and everyone about the things I accomplished and learned.

What do you like to do in your free time?

  • I enjoy playing video games, watching all sports and riding my bike.

What is your proudest moment so far?

  • Successfully navigating my way through college with a double major and taking on the extra workload, and hopefully graduating soon.

What is your favorite quote?

  • "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." -Eleanor Roosevelt

Three words to describe me are:

  • Sociable, Caring, Leader
