The Minneapolis Division has an outstanding opportunity for an individual interested in the Shop Helper position.
Responsibilities:
The Shop Helper is an operations team member with the primary goal of satisfying customer requirements of quality, quantity and delivery, in a safe manner while maximizing productivity. Specifically, the Shop Helper is responsible for all job activities required to support production process. These activities include; receiving, stacking, storing, shipping and transferring of all material and supplies in the warehouse; fabrication of wooden skids, banding of material off machines, maintaining proper grade trace-ability, material identification, use of business system to receive and track use of material, and inspecting for quality conformance.
Qualifications:
- Read and understand English
- Write legibly
- Basic math skills to include conversion of fractions to decimals and standard measurements to metric, additions, subtraction, multiplication, division, etc.
- Ability to use precision measurement instruments
- Working knowledge of computers in order to utilize the CDS inventory system.
- Communicate and interact closely with other employees and external contacts
- Precisely follow detailed and extensive instructions and posses sound decision making capabilities
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
