Detroit Division- Inside Sales Manager

The Detroit Division has an outstanding opportunity for a career-oriented individual interested in a career in Inside Sales Management.

Responsibilities

The Insides Sales Manager manages and directs a team of inside sales professionals to achieve sales and profit goals and is responsible for setting sales strategies for the division in accordance with company-wide initiatives and directives, evaluating and implementing appropriate sales techniques to increase the department’s sales volume and recommending products or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Additionally, the Inside Sales Manager will act as an advisor to the inside sales team regarding general sales operations and will ensure proper training and development of team members. Additional responsibilities include managing an individual customer base of high profile and/or large customers and accountability for individual as well as team sales goals. The Inside Sales Manager may accompany individual sales professionals on client calls to develop customer relationships and sales opportunities, and will oversee customer operations, negotiate contractual and spot market pricing, develop and deliver sales presentations and participate in joint sales calls with other key managers or executives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or related field or degree in progress combined with commensurate related experience required, MBA preferred
  • Prior management experience, directly or indirectly leading sales professionals, prior steel industry and sheet metal fabrication experience and product knowledge preferred
  • Effective business development experience with strong customer service skills, knowledge of customer service standards, products and procedures
  • Proficiency in Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel required
  • This position demands high energy and strong time management skills
