The Iowa Division has an outstanding opportunity for a career-oriented individual interested in Inventory Control.

The Inventory Control Specialist reports to the Purchasing and Materials Management Manager and assists in expediting incoming material, entering PO’s for spot buys and helping complete any special projects. Reviews critical inventory reports throughout the week, developing solutions to any shortages that might occur. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completion of assigned duties within a specialized area of inventory control and is accountable for reviewing all sales assignments to ensure that the proper inventory is used to maximize the turnover of aged inventory in support of the division’s inventory objectives. Is also responsible for additional administrative duties such as researching and resolving customer inquiries, filing and managing paperwork, as determined by the division.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associates degree or commensurate experience in related field
• 3+ years applicable document control experience in steel industry or commensurate OSI exp required
• Demonstrated ability to relay data to 3 rd parties, math, organizational and multi-tasking skills, as well as customer service standards required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of computerized document control and Stelplan, or related system of record required
