The Iowa Division has an outstanding opportunity for a career-oriented individual interested in a Quality Assurance career.
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for conducting routine tests and inspections on products, assisting the Quality Manager with data collection, performing capability studies and first article inspections, and recording results. Additionally, the Quality Technician participates in gauge calibrations and makes sure that all gauges are in compliance with ISO calibration procedures on their shift. Other responsibilities include participating in the development of standardized work instructions and training operators in the correct use of gauges and inspection techniques. The Quality Assurance Technician will work closely with the Quality Assurance Engineer and Quality Assurance Manager.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have an Associates degree in related field or commensurate experience. Other qualifications include demonstrated blueprint reading capability, familiarity with ISO requirements and procedures, tool calibration experience, and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint). Experience in the metals industry with metal forming and fabrication and statistical (SPC) familiarity is preferred.
