The Production Planning Specialist is responsible for monitoring orders and incorporating them into the production schedule. They will also assign or re-assign material orders as necessary, while working with the sales team to manage top accounts and repeat orders. This person will focus on movement of aged inventory, assist in designing the layout of the plant or layout of materials in the plant to achieve maximum efficiency. They are also responsible for applying coils to sales orders according to strategy set by management and using material reserved for specific customers if available. Applying coils to orders per the strategy set by management and matching orders to appropriate suppliers/outside processors based on requirements are just a couple other tasks that are common in this role.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 year in a related scheduling and production environment and a bachelor.s degree in related area
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Proven administrative abilities
• Strong mathematical, analytical, organizing, planning, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills
• Must be proficient in Lotus Notes, Word, and Excel
