The Siler City Facility has an outstanding opportunity for a career-oriented individual interested in materials management.
The purpose of this position is to lead the critical process of materials management by maximizing the competitive position and the return on assets of the Region and Olympic Steel Inc.
Responsibilities:
- Management of Business System - Materials Modules
- Supports Regional Strategy – Policies and Procedures
- Maintains Internal and External Relationships
- Buyer
- Customer Service
- Management of Shipping & Receiving Process
Qualifications:
- 5+ years materials management experience, including prior responsibility leading and managing others
- 5+ years experience in a steel service center
- Demonstrated working knowledge of finance and accounting principles and materials functions
- Exceptional organizational skills and multi-tasking skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
