The Pennsylvania Division has an outstanding opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining, growing, and servicing new and existing accounts in an assigned territory, primarily utilizing voice, fax, and electronic communications. The Inside Sales Rep. ensures high-quality customer service, including rapid response to all inquiries and on-time delivery according to customer specifications. Additionally, the Inside Sales Rep. is expected to sell, or encourage customers to purchase additional related products and services. This position also supports the Outside Sales Representatives in qualifying and opening new accounts in the territory. Other responsibilities include managing the order entry process, trouble shooting for potential problems, assisting in rectifying problems and claims, and soliciting feedback from customers on products, services, pricing and overall performance. This position could have the potential for advancement into an Outside Sales Representative position with an increased focus on value-added steel sales.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or compensating sales experience in the steel industry or related manufacturing environment
High energy, strong mathematical skills, strong telephone technique
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills (Lotus Notes, Excel, and Word)
- Existing knowledge of flat-rolled steel products and Mid Atlantic plate market
- Fundamental knowledge of blue print reading and understanding of value-added a plus
- Self-starter
