The Olympic Steel Chambersburg Division has an immediate opening for a full-time Human Resources Representative/Administrative Assistant .

The HR Rep will be responsible for coordinating Chambersburg payroll as well as serving as a consultant to the GM on HR related matters and executing plans/programs as needed. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing and distributing internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits as well as company policies and programs. The HR Rep will be responsible for performing employee relations’ responsibilities and working closely with all members of the Management team and others to ensure that the organization’s mission, vision and values are communicated and clearly understood throughout the Division.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years related work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field. PHR Certification preferred
• Working knowledge of employment laws and practices as well as HR policies and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Lotus Notes, HRIS and payroll programs required
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and professional written communication skills required
• Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills required
• Serve as employee contact for questions regarding policies, benefits, & projects relating to HR
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus
• DOT Administration experience a plus
• Ability to travel by ground and air required
