Olympic Steel Announces Management Changes


Cleveland, Ohio (December 12, 2001) – David A. Wolfort, President and Chief Operating Officer, of Olympic Steel, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZEUS) announced the following appointments.

Effective November 5, 2001, Clay Treska has been named Vice President – New Business Development. His responsibilities will include partnering with all locations in developing new business opportunities. Treska brings over 38 years of experience in the steel industry to his new assignment. He began his employment with Olympic Steel in 1983 with the inception of the Southern Division. He most recently served as General Manager – Olympic Steel Trading.

Effective December 17, 2001, Steve Mallory has been named Vice President – Minneapolis Coil & Plate. Mallory joined Olympic Steel in 1992 as Sales Manager – Minneapolis Coil. He was appointed General Manager – Minneapolis Coil in January 1998 and will retain direct management responsibility along with the responsibility for supporting the Minneapolis Plate operation.
