Olympic Steel Announces Management Changes


Cleveland, Ohio (July 22, 1999) - David A. Wolfort, Chief Operating Officer, of Olympic Steel, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZEUS) announced the following promotions which will become effective immediately.

Ray Walker has been named Vice President - Central Region which encompasses the Cleveland, Chicago and Tube Divisions. Walker joined Olympic Steel in 1986 and most recently served as General Manager - Cleveland.

David Lenzi has been named Vice President - Sales and Marketing. Lenzi joined Olympic Steel in 1985 with the purchase of Alloy Distributors, Inc. He most recently served as General Manager - Marketing.

Wolfort also announced the following promotions: Arthur "Chip" Scholl, General Manager - Cleveland; Bart Clifford, General Manager - Chicago; Karen White, Field Sales Manager - Cleveland; Neil Andress, Field Sales Manager - Chicago; and John Pristas, Operations Manager - Chicago.
