Ivy Katrinak
Operational Excellence Intern
Summer Intern Project
“I studied machine runtime estimates and recordings at Olympic Steel’s Minneapolis, MN (Plate) facility. I analyzed machine efficiencies and made improvements to the existing manual production logs. I also developed a new, user-friendly logging system that made it easier to enter data for all Operators. My efforts will help us gather more reliable data that will, in turn, provide a more accurate quoting process.”
