Summer Intern Project

Engineering Intern – Olympic Steel, Chambersburg, PA

“My project originally involved programming a detection system to help improve part quality, but due to delays with the machine installation, my focus shifted to supporting the installation itself. I learned a lot about the machining process, project management, and how to stay flexible when things don’t go as planned. Once the Kinetic cutter is up and running, it’ll boost part quality and help the company cut down on waste. I’m proud to have been part of the team getting it ready to go.”
