- Why did you choose to intern for Olympic Steel?
I chose to intern for Chicago Tube & Iron because of the company’s strong reputation in the steel service industry and its commitment to operational excellence and employee development. I'm excited about the opportunity to learn how accounting and finance play a critical role in a manufacturing and distribution environment. The chance to gain hands-on experience at a company that values integrity, corporate citizenship, quality, teamwork, and more, aligns perfectly with my career goals in the financial field.
- What do you hope to accomplish during your time here at Olympic Steel?
During this internship at CTI, I hope to deepen my practical understanding of accounting and finance principles by applying them to real-world scenarios. I aim to develop my technical skills in areas like financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, while also gaining insight into industry-specific practices. I look forward to learning from experienced professionals, contributing meaningfully to the team, and building a strong foundation for a future career in accounting and finance.
- What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
- What is your proudest moment so far?
One of my proudest moments so far is graduating magna cum laude from Dominican University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a minor in Finance—all while balancing the demands of being a student-athlete on the women’s soccer team.
