Summer Intern Project

Transportation Intern – Olympic Steel, Cleveland, OH

“My project focused on auditing our list of transportation carriers and commercial brokers. The goal was to reduce liability and make things more efficient by removing as many unnecessary or inactive carriers as possible. I worked with traffic managers and followed up with brokers and trucking companies to gather the information needed. By the end of the project, we identified more than 1,000 carriers that could be removed from our system. This will save time for traffic managers and reduce risk.”
