Summer Intern Project

Engineering Intern – Olympic Steel, Chambersburg, PA

“My project involved gathering quotes and building a proposal to justify adding a briquetting machine to the CNC shop. I researched, worked with multiple vendors, asked a lot of questions, and compiled the information we needed to support a strong case for the machine. I’m proud of how clearly the numbers and research came together to show the machine could reduce waste and improve workflow. If approved, the machine will help Chambersburg handle scrap more efficiently and could even serve as a model for other locations.”
