“My project involved working with data from SEMS to compare actual machine runtimes against quoted times. I created visual comparisons that highlighted gaps and areas for improvement, and I also built a process for checking this data more regularly. Along the way, I spotted and fixed some errors in my data before they could affect the results, which I’m really proud of. Improving the accuracy of this information helps strengthen our quoting process and ultimately supports better planning and customer satisfaction.”
- Why did you choose to intern for Olympic Steel?
I chose Olympic Steel because of the positive work environment and to gain a better understanding of different parts of the industry.
- What do you hope to accomplish during your time here at Olympic Steel?
I hope to gain real-world experience in the industry that I can use as I finish school and in my career.
- What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, dancing, and fishing.
- What is your proudest moment so far?
So far, I'm proud of myself for stepping outside of my comfort zone and taking the opportunities that have come with it.
