Summer Intern Project

Fabrication Intern – Olympic Steel, Buford, GA

“My project focused on improving efficiency by designing tools and equipment that support 5S practices. I created an ergonomic holder for the logo etching device and worked with the team to redesign tool racks that better support the realistic needs of daily operations. To make sure the designs were practical, I tested tasks myself, ensuring they’d work in each environment. The experience helped me grow as a designer and gave me a better understanding of how to optimize workflow. These changes mean a cleaner, more efficient facility.”
