Quality Intern – Olympic Steel, Bartlett, IL

“My project focused on creating a reliable inventory system for Bartlett’s press brake tooling. I cataloged, labeled and assessed the tooling on the floor, then built a centralized database showing each tool’s dimensions, condition and location. I worked closely with supervisors, colleagues and operators to gather and verify the information and develop a resource that would be useful across the division. I’m proud that the project reached completion and gave the team a clear, organized view of its available tooling. The system will make tooling easier to find, support quality and capacity planning, and help the team make faster, more informed decisions that can reduce setup and lead times.”
